Dear Council Member, Ed Gonzalez
District H
Mayor Pro-Tem
I live at 1103 Summer Street, 77007.
I and other neighbors have been reporting the stop sign at Holly Street & Crockett Street for many months now, using 311 and the SeeClickFix website.
The issue is not the sign, but the street visibility; one has to pull out into Crockett to see traffic coming from the East (across Crockett Street Bridge) and many times visibility from the West is impeded by cars parked on the South side of Crockett, not to mention the afternoon sun in the West. (see photos)
Why is it that the city is very quick to address overgrowth issues with personal property but will not address City right of ways when they are overgrown? This issue exist on both sides of Crockett along Holly Street. On the South side of Crockett along Holly there are no sidewalks. There is construction currently on the corner of Holly and Summer Street and there are always cars, trucks and trailers parked along Holly, at times on both sides of the street. This of course will eventually subside, but for those of us who enjoy using the Hike and Bike Trail it makes it very difficult at times. But, the main issue again is trying to turn onto Crocket from Holly.
It is also, very unsightly.
I would appreciate speaking to you or your representative as there are several other issues, drainage being one; but for now, if the City of Houston would please come out and cut the overgrowth along this section of Holly and open up the corner for clearer visibility of the oncoming traffic flying over the Crockett Street Bridge, you would make me and the neighbors very happy.
I look forward to your reply.

Request# 101001511670 indicates an address of 3604 WASHINGTON, HOUSTON TX 77007 which is not correct. This is the corner of Crocket and Holly at 1200 Crocket 77007.
Refer to the previous request# 101001495978 which was submitted on 9/3/14 and closed today. You can also refer to request# 101001481916 which was submitted on 8/17/14 and closed on 9/2/14, both obviously with no corrective action taken by COH. AGAIN, THIS IS NOT A NUISIANCE. IT IS A MAJOR PUBLIC SAFETY HAZARD!
