Getting rid of old tires has always been a problem. One of the reasons that there are so many old tires laying around town is that a certain service station refuses to take your old tire when they change one or sell you a new one. That is illegal since any shop that changes tires has to keep records of what they do with the old ones and cannot force the car owner to take them if they don't want to, but this is not enforced. You can take and put them in your car and go to Walmart, I heard they charge only a dollar a piece to take old tires from homeowners. The city garage picks them up once in a while but if you call them or take them there they will surely charge you more than a dollar a piece. Maybe the tire shop on valley road (Westwood) would take them as a courtesy. I would do one of these choices now before they fill up with water and it will be harder to get rid of them.
