Hi Ms. Payne,

I'm not sure if you're the right person to alert, but today I encountered a felled tree - from the roots - on the north facing sidewalk between 5th St. and the entrance to COA. The tree fell towards the lawn in front of the day care, but it is completely blocking the sidewalk. Unfortunately, this is the new path for anyone walking or cycling down Appezatto since the greenway is blocked.

Is there a timeline for when the construction blocking the greenway will be finished?

AC Transit staff have requested "to install an additional No Stopping sign next to the Street Sweeping sign, closer to the Encinal/Walnut intersection". The No Stopping sign would be on the same pole as the street sweeping sign in the eastbound direction east of Walnut Street, and would have similar wording as the No Stopping sign just east of there. AC Transit is reporting "at least one accident recently resulting from a vehicle parked in the bus stop." Thank you!

Community member requested a bench for the bus going northwest towards Bay Farm Island on Maitland at Harbor Bay Parkway. Please install a four-foot long bench six feet southeast of the bus stop sign to leave room for a front door wheelchair lift. Please charge the installation to paratransit fund: 20962741. A community member complained about graffiti at the bus shelter on Santa Clara Avenue at Oak by the old library. I found graffiti on the bench as shown in the photo as well as on the glass at the back wall of the shelter. Thank you!

Original message to Areli: The adjacent sprinkler is causing issues to the landing pad on W. Hornet at the WETA facility.
Dalwinder reply: sprinkler gets repaired to stop water from spilling. Then we will remove any wet soil and regrade with gnu decompose granite that we still have.

AC Transit is requesting more red curb (~20 extra feet for egress) on the far side of the bus stop pole/sign in front of Encinal High School.

As part of this bus shelter replacement work, the contractor will be moving a pole with a sign on it that is in the Main Street soccer parking lot (attached). The contractor will need a new sign because this sign is old and a new pole to install it correctly in the new spot. Please place this new pole and sign next to the bus shelters in the Maintenance yard so the contractors have what they need when they go to assemble the bus shelters and replace this old bus shelter for the new one. Please feel free to charge paratransit (4225287) . Thank you!

Please charge the following work to paratransit fund (4225287) and complete by the first week in August: Fri, August 6 for new pilot bus service later in August:
- Remove six parking Ts
- Paint red curb where the five on-street parking spaces exist totaling 110 feet
- Provide a level bus pad with decomposed granite as shown in the attached image to the west and east of the light pole without removing trees

A community member complaint to me due to destroyed park fencing: Please a protective device like reflective bollards similar to Central/Webster in the planter strip on High Street at Santa Clara Avenue at Lincoln Park to protect the historic fencing and to reduce likelihood of people driving straight into the park as shown here:

Please install "Tsunami Hazard Zone" signs, which are stored at Maintenance, at seven different gateway locations as follows and above any existing signs to reduce likelihood of theft:
1) Ballena Bay - South of Tideway Drive: Suggest placing above the "Stop Ahead" sign on the same pole for southbound road users
2) Constitution Way - Marina Village Parkway: Suggest placing on the light pole that is south of the light pole with 25 mph speed limit sign for southbound road users
3) High St Bridge - South of Marina Drive: Suggest placing on the light pole above the existing "Please be Courteous" and lane directional signs for southbound road users
4) Miller-Sweeney Bridge on Tilden Way: Suggest placing above the 35 mph speed limit sign on the same pole for southbound road users
5) Island Dr at Veterans Ct: Suggest placing above the "Veterans Ct" sign on the same light pole for southbound road users
6) Park St Bridge at Blanding Ave: Suggest placing north of Blanding Avenue on street light above the "Please be courteous" sign for southbound road users
7) Harbor Bay Pkwy - west of Ron Cowan Pkwy: Suggest placing above the 35 mph speed limit sign on the same pole for westbound road users

At the southbound bus stop on Broadway at Blanding, please install a four foot bus bench, which is stored at the Maintenance yard, in front of Papa Murphy's and on City Sidewalk - back of public sidewalk and six feet north of mailbox. Please install using the paratransit fund #4225287. The community member requested a bus shelter; however, a bus bench requires less city maintenance and we do not have a budget for additional ones at this time. We do have bus benches in Maintenance yard.

Please install a bus bench at the bus stop in front of the new senior housing on Sherman Street at Buena Vista. The residents of this senior housing - Littlejohn Commons - have trouble waiting for the bus without a bench. Please install it back of sidewalk to ensure safety of people sitting on the bench. Extra benches are located at Maintenance facility. Please charge to 4225287. Thank you!
