We dont know whom to forward this Public Safety concern on Barbers Point Road and Corpus Christi Road in Alameda, Ca.
As residents living here for over 15 years we have noticed an increase of speeding accidents, damages and total loss vehicles on these residential roads/streets within the last 5-10 years and demand this area be audited by an expert city/public works official to construct speed bumps. If we need to go to city hall or file a formal request through public works— no problem but let us know immediately. We have had it with asking Jeff Cambra to address this around November 2022. And here we are again years later! Tonight 3/26/2024 at 9:23pm was the last straw! Contact APD as they are aware of this accident that was speeding, and side-swiped a car and almost hit our trees. The vehicle pictured is likely an old BLACK HONDA and the license plates seem to read either: 9HER559 or 9FER559 (maybe a stolen vehicle) but the point is we would simply need speed bumps or we will build them for you!
Please audit this specific area and you will find out it is with reason we get speed bumps for the safety of our community and to prevent or further lessen accidents of public driving behavior.
